Established in 1998 by firefighters Dave McPake and Trevor Moss to provide emergency response and safety management training to Wellington businesses, FETS’ team of 20 now provides a comprehensive range of courses to clients nationwide. From our new national headquarters and custom built training facility in Upper Hutt just north of Wellington with a team of experts nationwide , we deliver core and compliance training , speciality courses , tailored safety management and youth development programmes to small businesses, trades, the manufacturing industry, Government departments, corporates, the maritime industry and schools. Any course that we run that has units standards attached goes through a rigorous moderation process with the Standard Setting Body ensuring the quality of the course is to a very high level. This level of training then flows on to our refresher courses and our tailor made packages. We guarantee that your training will be delivered by someone who knows their specialty inside out. Trevor has been involved in the emergency industry since of those years as a professional fire fighter based in Wellington and now as a volunteer with the Paraparaumu Fire Brigade. He has been involved with training since 1988, firstly with the NZ Fire Service training fire fighters and since 1998 as the Managing Director of FETS.
Although Trevor is involved directly with training from time to time, his key role now is liaison with NZQA, the various Industry Training Organisations ITO and most importantly FETS clients. Dave has been in the emergency response industry since 1985 and maintains his level of expertise by still being a professional fire fighter with the NZ Fire Service. Dave too has been involved for many years in the training field both with the NZ Fire Service and with FETS. Various training topics Health and Safety, Confined Space Entry, Breathing Apparatus, Gas Suit, Basic Rescue, Fire Extinguisher, Floor Warden, Urban Search and Rescue, Gas Monitoring, HSNO, Live Fire Training, Rural Fire Fighting . Previously Kent was working for a training provider in the agricultural industry.
National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Vocational Workplace Level 5 . Grant has been involved in the emergency services since of those years as a police officer in Central London before emigrating to NZ and joining the NZ Police in 1998. Grant joined the team at FETS in July 2014 as full time Instructor based in the Waikato
