Merv joined a Lower Hutt legal firm in 1976 and has practiced as a general practice lawyer, principally in Lower Hutt, since that time. In those almost 40 years, Merv has developed experience in a wide range of legal work with an emphasis on business and commercial law, wills and trusts, subdivision of land and property law and trusteeship for charitable and not for profit organisations amongst a wide range of other areas of the law. Merv and Sue enjoyed family life being involved with the children as they grew up, their schools, sporting endeavours and other activities.
Nicola has been practicing as a solicitor for over 10 years, principally in Lower Hutt. During that time Nicola has experience in advising clients on a range of legal matters including buying and selling property, trusts, estates and succession planning and with a particular expertise in advising on relationship property and separation matters. Nicola is actively involved in the school community and involved in wider community issues. Penny has practiced as a lawyer for just over 40 years in Lower Hutt, 34 of those years in the husband and wife practice of Grigg le Page, until that practice became part of JAG Legal in 2015.
Penny and her husband John have three adult children and four grandchildren. John started working for a leading law firm in Lower Hutt in 1974 and in 1981 together with his wife, Penny le Page, established the practice of Grigg le Page which operated successfully for 34 years until it became part of JAG Legal in 2015. In the 40 years since he was admitted to the bar John has been involved primarily in business and commercial law, wills, estates and trusts, subdivision of land and most aspects of property law. Jessica is a diligent and enthusiastic Registered Legal Executive Associate with over 10 years experience in various property areas including residential conveyancing, refinancing transactions and subdivisions. Once their two boys were born Jane worked part time at legal offices in Upper Hutt and returned to work with Merv and Nicola in 2011.
