We aim to work in partnership, sharing responsibility between the school, home and community to ensure that children behave in an good way learning and social, throughout the school. Who is on the Board? The Board of Trustees is made up of parent representatives, a staff representative and the Principal. Why do we have a Board? What does the Board do? The Board governs the school whilst the Principal manages the day to day running of the school.
To create a sound and hospitable environment that meets the needs of all children. The Board of Trustees allocates a budget to ensure all children and staff have the appropriate resources to enhance better learning and behavior. Our school has a camp for the senior children which is held every second year. Konini Primary School is a Definite behavior for Learning PB4L school and since starting this programmed in early 2014 we have worked on developing and implementing a consistent set of expectations for behavior across the school this is an ongoing process.
Education of children at Konini Primary School is a partnership between teachers and parents. We appreciate the many offers of assist from parents who are accommodating to aid with publishing, reading, maths, clubs, sports, music, lunches and trips to name a few. All children are expected to be involved with the steady swimming programmed which is held once a year. There are many occasions when money is brought to school for stationery, trips, visits, or other activities. The school expects parents to trust responsibility for books lost or damaged at home.
