By the mid 1980’s the company expanded into the building industry and has not looked back since! With over 30 years’ experience, mph Engineering are well established in the industry. One of the major challenges that mph faced with the fabrication of theses gantries was that they were specified for the next maintenance of them to be carried out in 25 years. Completed in August 2011, a 12,500m2 building consisting of 12 indoor courts qualified to host local, regional, National and international sports tournaments. Our Estimators Quantity Surveyor’s main priority is to provide accurate, consistent and competitive pricing for our clients.
We are proudly SC NZ Steel Fabricator certified AFC to category 3, which awards us with an independent certification that our quality management systems consistently result in pliable fabricated steelworks. Ranging from 34m down to 17m, fabricated and erected by mph Engineering and Banks Engineering Ltd. Whatever the project challenges are, we have the team, equipment, and procedures to ensure every structure is erected safely, to code, and on time. Movement of huge amounts of steel to a firm location in Wellington meant transportation of large items such as the bow trusses at 46 M Spans from our Fabrication shop in Seaview proved to be a hard as the Bow trusses wouldn’t fit through the Mt Vic Tunnel and had and had to be separate down the middle from the top to the base and fitted with backing plates with stuffed strength welds. Our qualified and experienced retailers use their skills to turn Engineering and Architectural drawings into detailed shop drawings.
The gantries promote electronic Lane Control Signs which will aid to improve safety, traffic flow and on road information for Wellington motorway users. We have continued to re invest in our equipment and staff to ensure that we maintain the lofty standards that our clients have arrive to expect and rely on. We coordinate between the client's quantity surveyor, architects, engineers and main contractor regarding plans and specifications to establish methods of measurement, construction methodology and to resolve any gentle deficiencies or issues which may impact on the cost. Lateral pack resistance in the concise direction is provided by in sit concrete shear walls and concentrically braced steel frames. Manukau City center Tertiary Campus and Transport Interchange integrates three operational elements a teaching learning facility, a new railway station and a bus interchange.
