Our English Medium Syndicate Ng Mahuri caters for students from Year 0 to Year 8. I have been teaching at Petone Central for 10 years and have taught classes from Year 0 to Year 7. Our school values resonate with all of our learners at Petone Central School.
My role as a teacher is to promote students to thrive a love of learning and equip them with the skills to collaborate and develop their own learning. I have been teaching at Petone Central School since 1996 for almost 20 years and have taught at every level, from Fresh Entrant up to Year 8. It is my belief that in order to get the best from students, teachers need first establish certain relationships with students. Where possible, enroll your child at least 4 weeks prior to their fifth birthday. To me, effective teaching involves the linking before knowledge with fresh ideas and understandings.
Our school is a full primary, catering for children from Year 0 through to Year 8. Both of my sons have attended Petone Central school in Ag Rico with one now in college and my youngest about to move on to college after year. I have been teaching at Petone Central School since 1996 for almost 20 years and have taught at every level, from New Entrant up to Year 8. Our M Fri Immersion Syndicate Ag Rico caters for students from Year 0 to Year 8. Petone Central does not have an enrollment zone, so any kid can enroll at our school. It is my belief that in order to get the best from students, teachers need first establish definite relationships with students. We are unique because we have succeeded in building our M Fri language, values and culture commitments into a mainstream school.
My role as a teacher is to support students to flourish a love of learning and equip them with the skills to collaborate and develop their own learning. To me, effective teaching involves the linking before knowledge with new ideas and understandings. To aid your child settle into school, we have a Ore entry programmed available where your child will visit the new entrant classroom for one hour a week, beginning 4 weeks before to starting school. Our year 7 and 8 students participate in English Transition class once a week. It is also crucial to have a Team of Teachers who are reflective inquirers, students who have the tools necessary to be life lengthy learners, a Board of Trustees who are supportive and certain contributors to our school, and our Ch nab and wider community who aspire for their tamariki to be the best that they can be
