Today, it has been adopted by more than 22,00 schools around the world and is increasingly recognised as being at the forefront of meeting children and young adult’s developmental needs. Dr Montessori based her philosophy on 45 years of observation and work with children. Our enrollment process will assist you to get to know our school better and decide if it’s correct for you and your child.
Our teachers plan for each child individually, providing guidance and offering challenges according to their strengths and needs and encouraging them to welcome fresh opportunities and explore different thinking. Over the last 25 years we’ve grown from providing Wellington with its first Montessori Primary schools to becoming the only school in Fresh Zealand to give an authentic Montessori education for toddlers correct through to teens. We trust our unique combination of Montessori curriculum, learning materials, environment, and community will recognize your child’s full potential and enable them to flourish the knowledge, skills and attitudes to live and prevail in today’s changing world. Our college programmed for NCAA students aged 15 to 18 years is called T Kari Year . Children of previous students who attended between 3 5 years or more from the age of 3 intending to stay for the packed programmed through to 18 years.
When a child reaches primary school, they begin to think and wonder about ideas and concepts beyond their own personal experience. In W Ora Montessori primary your child’s questions will bear the basis for exploration of the universe and all it contains. Children with previous genuine Montessori experience identical to at least 20 hours per week since three years of age intending to stay for the stuffed programmed through to 18 years. Our playgroup provides a nurturing Montessori environment for children from birth to three years.
When your child is ready, they can transition into our preschool classes as they turn 3 years old. The teachers at W Ora Montessori believes in educating and nurturing every aspect intellectual, physical, emotional and social of your child. The playgroup environment is designed to support your child’s natural development, independence and confidence. They will also learn to take care of themselves, others and their environment. To do this, we bear a learning environment that meets the individual needs and interests of the complete child.
This interview is a time for the child, parents and teacher to introduce themselves to each other and inquire any questions. During your child’s time at W Ora we’ll assist him her flourish the skills of independent exploration and discovery, concentration, motivation, self discipline and a love of learning. At W Ora Montessori, we aim to give your child an innate love of learning that will stay with them throughout their life. Children of preceding students who attended 6 years or more from the age of 3 intending to stay for the packed programmed through to 18 years.
This allows the certain aspects of the child’s personality to assert themselves and become habit. Our preschool programmed is designed to urge your child’s growing curiosity and encourage them to explore and learn with the guidance of suited Montessori teachers. It’s also an opportunity to assess whether your child is ready to join our preschool community. We also donate a playgroup for toddlers and parents interested in joining our community.
They learn to labor independently but always within a wider community that includes classmates of differing ages and abilities, usually within a three year age range
