Yoga improves your muscle tone and exercises your entire skeletal system, developing strength and flexibility. Colleen believes in a gentle approach and encourages us to be mindful at all times of only doing what feels comfortable for each person. When we are exercising Colleen encourages us to move only as far as is comfortable, so everyone makes individual movements. I hadn’t been to yoga for about 3 years when I first went to Colleen’s Pregnency Yoga’ class.
Going to class was something that I looked forward to every week and it was a lovely break from the hard work of being pregnant. In the past I felt really self conscious going to yoga classes but at Colleens classes I have felt comfortable, able to ask questions and I continue to look forward to going every week. Colleen is lovely and she makes you work and I can certainly feel my body afterwards! If you are looking for a yoga class where you can be yourself, feel comfortable and get a great workout I can’t say enough about Colleen as a teacher I would encourage anyone who is thinking of starting up or coming back to try yoga again to come along. I have particularly enjoyed the restorative yoga practise and the relaxation at the end of each class it is divine.
Anyone thinking about practising yoga, I encourage you to attend one of Colleen’s classes or have a private yoga session your body and mind will benefit. I’m really enjoying doing the program at home and have remembered all the moves Thank you once again. Yoga can bring a sense of relaxation and ease which will enable individuals to work together more harmoniously and make better decisions. Private yoga sessions are a great way to begin your yoga journey and are designed to meet your individual needs and goals.
Practice is at a pace and level that suits your circumstances and energy levels on the day. In the state of Yoga Nidra the mind is in a state between sleep and wakefulness and is extremely receptive. I will systematically guide you on a journey through your body, a journey of sensation which will bring about deep relaxation allowing the body to heal itself. It’s a positive statement said in the present tense, as though it’s already happening. During pregnancy the joints are under pressure from increased weight gain and practising joint flexibilities can help improve lymph flow and release muscular tension.
Meditation techniqes to calm and relieve anxiety and Relaxation to allow your whole body and mind to totally relax. In class you are always encouraged to be guided by your intuition and comfort
